Over the past five years, GoodHuman has been working tirelessly to drive positive change in the human services sector. Our commitment has been to develop a continuously-improving platform that lets human service providers work better so they can do more good.
To do this we have heavily invested in building a great tool to support the good humans in the human services sector to do more of their amazing work. It is not overstating things to say that building a product that revolutionises the way providers manage and interact with the NDIS and other service systems has been a resource-intensive exercise.
But now it is clear that in this mission we raced towards our goals faster than we should have. To ensure we continue to deliver on our vision for the future of human services and support the needs of our rapidly-growing customer base, we have had to make some difficult decisions to bolster our financial sustainability including actively reducing our workforce by 35 per cent. This was an incredibly hard choice to make and we are saddened to part with some of the great people who have helped us create what GoodHuman is today. We are confident though that this will lead to a stronger and more resilient GoodHuman in the long term.
This important task has been aided by valued GoodHuman customer, Bryce Sceresini, who has cast a multi-million dollar vote of confidence GoodHuman in the form of an investment from his non-NDIS company Sceres Industries. As the CEO of Perth-based Innovative Support Australia, Bryce has seen the benefits of GoodHuman up close - making his backing of our business all the more significant.
We have reached out directly to our customers to take them through these changes. The coming weeks will be a time for planning and consolidation at GoodHuman as we seek to build a strong future for the organisation.
I’d like to personally thank all the staff who have contributed to GoodHuman to date and the larger GoodHuman community for their patience and faith as we make these necessary changes.
