It’s not news to any leader in the disability support industry that 2022 has gotten off to a tricky start. The NDS State of the Disability Sector Report 2021 paints a tough picture of industry sentiment, with almost two-thirds (65%) of NDIS service providers saying that operating conditions are getting worse. Of those who recorded a profit in 2021, only around half (57%) expected that to continue in 2022.
Despite this, there are a number of opportunities for disability support organisations to succeed, even when resources are stretched. What’s needed are clear pathways and practical solutions that help organisations succeed in an industry under intense pressure.
GoodHuman partnered with The Evolved Group to survey 199 NDIS participants and 454 legal guardians/primary carers across the country to uncover their priorities, the challenges they face in finding support and what makes for a positive experience.
