Now in its third year, the annual GoodHuman Customer Trends and Values Report paints a picture of an industry facing a trust crisis. The disability support sector wants to focus on optimism and choice, but is being marred by suspicion and cynicism.
Demoralising? A little. Hopeless? No way.
There is a shift towards an optimistic outlook taking place in the wider sector with federal funding increased, disability advocates appointed to key positions and new initiatives driven by people with lived experience.
The real question is what actions can support providers take at an organisational level to build on this optimism and foster more trust with customers?
GoodHuman partnered with The Evolved Group to survey 201 NDIS participants and 450 legal guardians/primary carers across the country to uncover their priorities, the challenges they face in finding support and what makes for a positive experience. By focusing on what is most important to those you support, your organisation can prioritise effectively.
